User Experience DesignInternet is taking place in all areas of our lives. We are looking dozens of the web site in a day. We are visiting our bank's site, looking for products to buy, reading product reviews, buying plane / bus ticket, looking at recipes, checking traffic and weather conditions, reading news, and many more different purposes.

It is not sufficient to have a chic website to success in a world where visitors' expectations are constantly changing. As a customer, our time is valuable and our patience is limited. If a web site load slowly, we don't wait, we close it. If we can't find what we are looking for after a few clicks, we are going to another website. When designing a website, we must focus on the user to reduce similar problems. First impression of the user, used colors, layout are the main important things for the look of your web site. But, a good impression doesn't mean a better user experience.

Each user visits the website for different purposes. Some people are visiting your website to get information about your company, some to buy products, some to reach customer service or to make an application to your company. Some of these users are visiting your site for the first time and some visited previously your website. Different users will have different monitoring methods for your website.

User experience design, in every stage of design, by including your target audience, is creating a design not with the guts but with the user's data.

For A Good User Experience Design;

  • While making the design take user habits into consideration. For example, if you are designing an iPhone application you must know the iPhone's usage patterns. At the same time you must know the purpose and the area of use. Or an e-commerce site, the important thing isn't only to be easy to use. In offline areas (cargo, call-center, etc...) experiments are a part of this experience. Therefore, you need to find solution to cover the entire system.
  • People don't read, they skim. Good design doesn't make user to think. You need to make features easier to use.
  • A user experience without a user is unthinkable. For this reason you must make tests with users and should try to understand their behavior. Design shouldn't be usable for you; hence it should be for users.
