In the last few days, Google's new service Google Shopping is on the agenda. The product service Google Product which was a product search service begin to serve as an online shopping portal and this become a subject for a lot of writings on social media.
Previously, Google Products was free for product listing, but now on Google will charge for this service. In addition, the ads of the products on Google Shopping will be in the top positions in search results under the title of sponsored products.
According to Google, which brings a new
point of view to the online shopping services, every store should get benefits
from this new system. Google also offers ads/discount coupons to store owners
to encourage of using this system. As another innovation, Google Shopping opens
Google Safe Buy application and with this it presents another opportunity to
the shops which want to go forward. The
search and comparison service which were previously used on Google, continues to
take place on Google Shopping as well.
For this moment this system which will start to be used in Turkey is only available on U.S. and the price is on U.S. dollar. Google Shopping seems to achieve a major hit on U.S. online shopping market and it will outpace Facebook which didn't get the desired success on online shopping. Google Shopping will be a serious competitor to Pinterest but it must undergo a change from both media.
We are curious about what will happen when Google Shopping start to serve in Turkey. On our previous articles, we mentioned that every company should have their own web site according to the new law. This law will also be applied on shopping web sites. According to this matter, the effectiveness of Google Shopping in Turkey might be limited. Web sites which want to stand out from other e-commerce and online shopping web sites should contact to web design companies and should have a website before the law enter into force.
